What candidates see
The apply page, emails, calls, tests and interviews from the candidate's side, so you can answer their questions.

Applying
Your apply page shows your logo, intro text and open roles with their department, location, work type, openings and closing date. Candidates choose a role, fill in their details, upload a resume (PDF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, RTF or TXT, or a photo or scan as PNG, JPG, WebP, HEIC, GIF or TIFF, up to 10 MB), pick a preferred location when the role has locations (a role with none of its own offers its drive's locations), answer your questions and agree to be contacted and to AI screening calls being recorded.
They get a reference number such as APP-7K2QM9 and a note that an AI assistant may call them. Their draft is saved on their device until they submit.
The screening call
If the pre-call email is on, they are told the AI will phone them. The call comes from your calling number. The agent confirms who they are, says it is an automated AI call that is recorded for the hiring team and asks if now is a good time to talk, then asks your questions, answers theirs and offers interview times. If they are hard to reach, they get a link to do an interview in the browser instead.
Tests and interviews
- Online test: a link and a 4-digit passcode by email. Answers save as they go and survive a reload.
- AI interview: a link and a 4-digit passcode, open from the start of their slot until the grace period ends. They can change their slot online up to the cutoff.
- Interview with your team: a personal link and a 6-digit code, a device check, consent to recording, and a waiting room until an interviewer lets them in.
After a decision
Emails confirm each step. People not selected receive an encouraging email after a delay you set. People hired receive the outcome or welcome email (when you send it or the Hire step is set to), a joining-day reminder and, if you use it, access to the induction portal. Every candidate page has a “Something not working?” link to report a problem.
Common candidate questions
| They ask | The answer |
|---|---|
| “Is the call really an AI?” | Yes. It says so at the start of every call, and the call is recorded for your hiring team. |
| “I missed the call.” | It tries again in a later pass, and emails them. If it still cannot reach them, the pipeline decides what happens next (for example a browser interview link). |
| “I want to talk to a person.” | The agent tells them someone from your team will call and asks for the best time. Your team is alerted (a strip above every dashboard page, a notification and an email) and the candidate gets an email confirming it. |
| “The call got cut off.” | A short follow-up call finishes the screening, asking only what is missing. They get an email with the time. |
| “My passcode does not work.” | Codes are in the latest email. After too many wrong tries, they must wait 15 minutes. You can resend or reissue links from the candidate's page. |
| “Can I use my phone?” | Applying and tests work on phones. For video interviews you decide whether phones and tablets may join. |
| “Please delete my data.” | Use Erase personal data on their candidate page. See Data and privacy. |
