How HumanEQ HR works
The big picture: one apply link, a pipeline of rounds for every role, AI that does the legwork and people who make the decisions.
The idea in one paragraph
HumanEQ HR runs the first mile of hiring for every applicant, the same way every time. Candidates apply through one link. Each role follows a pipeline you design: the AI can score resumes, phone applicants, send online tests and run AI interviews, and your own team meets the finalists on video. Every score comes with its evidence, and the decisions that matter stay with people.
AI steps only move candidates forward, flag them for a person, or suggest. Only a person, or a Close step that a person deliberately placed in the pipeline, can mark someone Not selected. Candidates are told on every call that it is an automated, recorded AI call.
A candidate's journey
With the standard pipeline that every new organization starts with, a candidate goes through these steps:
- 1Applies through your public link or a QR code, from any phone. Their resume is scored in the background within about a minute.
- 2Gets a screening call from the AI calling agent within your calling hours. It asks your questions, notes practical facts such as notice period and expected salary, answers their questions from your knowledge base, and offers interview slots.
- 3Round 1 gate. The resume and call scores are combined and compared with your threshold. Candidates who pass get their chosen AI interview slot booked automatically.
- 4Takes the AI interview in the browser at the booked time, using a link and a 4-digit passcode.
- 5Round 2 gate. Strong interviews are suggested for the final round. A person confirms.
- 6Final round with your panel, on HumanEQ's own video platform, in person, or by phone. Each interviewer fills in a scorecard.
- 7Decision. The candidate is hired when the panel recommends it, and the onboarding checklist opens. Otherwise a person records the outcome.
You can change every part of this. Add an online test, a demo lesson, a manual review, waiting periods, emails or conditions, and give each role its own pipeline. See Building a pipeline.
Key terms

What runs on its own
A background scheduler runs about every minute. It places calls within your calling hours, sends reminders, grades tests that ran out of time, marks interview no-shows and moves candidates to their next step. You do not need to keep a tab open, and nothing you set up is lost if you close the browser.
Anything that needs a person, such as a remark, a near miss or a manual review, appears on Needs review (under Home in the sidebar), under Overview → Needs attention and in the notifications bell.
Write to us, or use Report a problem inside the app. We usually reply within a working day.
