Rounds, thresholds and score gates
Set the pass marks for round 1 and round 2, choose automatic or suggested decisions, and handle near misses.

Save defaults applies to new decisions. Re-apply re-decides candidates still waiting in review. Changing a threshold never re-decides someone who has already moved on. Each role can override these on its Rounds tab.
Automatic or suggest only
- Automatic: candidates who pass move on by themselves. Near misses and candidates below the threshold follow the Near miss and Below threshold outputs straight away, so connect those to a Manual review if a person should look first.
- Suggest only: every result waits for a person: passes, near misses and candidates below the threshold. Passing candidates are marked as suggested and confirmed, for example with Confirm for final round. On the application page the person chooses Move on, Follow the near-miss path (only when that output is connected) or Do not proceed. Going against the AI's suggestion needs a reason.
A short, basic screening call often scores between 35 and 60, so a threshold of 60 expects detailed answers. Keep gates in Suggest only for your first hiring round, look at the scores, then decide.
Near misses and overrides
A score within the near-miss margin is a near miss, shown with a Near miss chip instead of being marked below. In Automatic mode it follows the gate's Near miss output; when nothing is connected there, it waits in Needs review. In Suggest only mode it waits for a person. From the application you can confirm the shortlist, or use Override round 1… / Override round 2… with a reason. The AI's own result stays visible with an Override badge.
