Resume screening

How every resume is read and scored against the role, and how to use the result.

How it works

When an application with a resume arrives, the AI reads it in the background; a score appears within about a minute. It checks each line of the role's Requirements one by one as met, partly met, missing or unknown, quoting the resume line that proves it.

It then scores skills, experience, education, communication and resume quality from 0 to 10, and combines them into a score out of 100: skills 35%, experience 35%, education 15%, communication 10%, resume quality 5%. Each resume is read three times and the middle result is kept, so scores are steady.

ScoreRecommendation
80–100Highly recommended
65–79Recommended
50–64Maybe
0–49Not recommended

The Resume tab of an application shows the document, the recommendation, the sub-scores, strengths, gaps, red flags such as unexplained gaps, and the requirement-by-requirement check. Re-score runs it again.

Using the score

  • Write a clear role description and one requirement per line. They are what the resume is measured against.
  • In round 1 the resume counts for 34% of the combined score by default. See Rounds and thresholds.
  • Add a Resume screen step to a pipeline for its own minimum score and branches.
  • An optional round 0 threshold only flags weak resumes for attention; it never rejects anyone.
