Set up your organization
From getting your account to your first applications: the settings to check, the order to do them in, and how to test safely before real calls.

Get your organization's account
- 1Open the contact page, choose Get an account, and enter your name, work email, your organization name and type (school, college, university, company, NGO, institute or other), a phone number if you like, and a few lines about your hiring.
- 2The HumanEQ team sets up your organization, usually within a working day, and emails you a link to set your password. Organizations can't create their own accounts.
- 3Sign in. You land on the Overview with a Getting started card, and a short guided tour points out where everything is (it shows once; replay it any time with Take the tour on the Overview).
- 4Your organization is ready with a public apply link, a standard pipeline called Standard three-round and a default dashboard. Your usage limits are set by HumanEQ.
The last part of your public link (the slug) is fixed once chosen, so printed posters and QR codes never break.
The Getting started card
The card on the Overview tracks four steps and hides itself once they are done:
- Organization profile: name, website, address, timezone and logo (Open settings).
- Create your first role (New role).
- Calling hours & slots: when the AI may phone, and when AI interviews can take place (Set up slots).
- Copy your public link (Copy link) and share it.
Recommended set-up order
For a complete set-up, this order avoids going back and forth:
- 1Settings → Profile and Settings → Brand kit: your details, logo, colours and email sender name. See Brand kit.
- 2Settings → Calling: set calling hours, check the recording notice, and pick the agent's voice and speaking speed. The HumanEQ team switches on the calling connection itself. See AI screening calls.
- 3Rounds & thresholds: the pass marks for round 1 and round 2. See Rounds and thresholds.
- 4Settings → Hiring: default pipeline, cooldown, rejection email delay, the Nearby radius (km) for locations and how long Induction access lasts. The other Settings tabs are Email sender, WhatsApp, Video interviews, Usage limits and Data & privacy.
- 5Drives and locations, if you run separate hiring drives or hire for more than one place. See Drives and locations.
- 6Team & access: invite HR colleagues and interviewers. See Team and access.
- 7Question templates: one phone screening template and one AI interview template. See Question templates.
- 8Assessments, if you want an online test. See Online tests.
- 9Knowledge base: answers the calling agent may give candidates. See Knowledge base.
- 10Create the role, build and publish its form, then open it. See Roles and the apply link.
- 11Slots & scheduling: the AI interview slots, linked on the role's Slots tab. See AI interviews.
- 12Pipelines, only if you want something other than the standard flow.
- 13Share the link, and start a screening call campaign.
Try everything before real calls
Ask the HumanEQ team to put your organization in test mode. Every call is then simulated: outcomes, transcripts and slot choices are generated, so you can walk candidates through the whole pipeline without a phone bill or a real phone ringing. Simulated calls have no audio recording, and the calling pages show Test mode.
You can also try a pipeline without any candidates at all with Simulate in the pipeline builder. See Building a pipeline.
Ask the HumanEQ team to switch test mode off before you share the link with real applicants, or no one will actually be called.
Write to us, or use Report a problem inside the app. We usually reply within a working day.
